Hi Everyone
Just a message to invite you to our next meeting on Thursday 9th December 2021 at 4.30pm.
If you don't have a lot of time but still want to help we really do need all the support we can get. All the funds are for our children. You may enjoy creating posters or baking or helping to organise events such as a Disco, Summer Fair or our Santa Grotto at Christmas. You may have some different fund raising ideas.
REMEMBER THIS GROUP IS FOR YOU AND YOUR CHILDREN PLEASE SHOW YOUR SUPPORT.
Please spare an hour and come along to see what we are all about.
You can also visit our webpage on the school Website.
Hopefully we will see you all there!!
FWPS
Friends of Whitwell Primary School is run by a group of Parent/Carer/Teacher/Community member volunteers.
We put on various events throughout the year to raise money for equipment, school trips and events, all for the benefit of our children and school.
Our last project has been to make the outside area of Miss Morris's classroom more exciting and stimulating for the children. We have used monies raised to astro turf two areas, bought cushions, a storage unit, chalk boards and phonic sound stars - all to help enhance the childrens learning. We have also used paint and various accessories to add colour to the area. Photos of the area are below.
Other equipment purchased over the last 8 years includes:
- Foundation stage kitchen
- Outdoor play equipment and garden furniture for foundation stage play area
- Outdoor play equipment for key stage 1 and 2
- Stage and projector
- Outdoor music system
- Storage equipment and furniture for classrooms
- Sports kit for tournaments and MUCH MORE
We try to organise fun events for our pupils and family to enjoy and greatly appreciate everyone who helps at our events and those who support us by coming to events. We are always in need of extra help and ideas. If you feel you would like to get involved then please come along to one of our meetings or leave a message at the school office and we will contact you.
Details of meetings and events will be advertised in school, by text and on the website.
If you are able to help at any of our events please let us know.
