School Dinners, Milk and Fruit
School Meals
School dinners are cooked on site and provided by the Derbyshire Local Authority school meals service. The meals offered are nutritious and fresh produce is used. Weekly menus are displayed in each classroom, the School Office and are available on our website under ‘Useful Information’.
The current cost (September 2020) is £2.20 per day or £11.00 per week. Payment should be made on Mondays, weekly or half-termly in advance. If your child is absent any credit will be carried forward to the following week. You may pay by cash or cheque; cheques should be made out to ‘Derbyshire County Council’. Please send all monies in a sealed envelope with your child's name, class and date on it; envelopes are available from the school office.
From September 2014, children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 are entitle to Universal Free School Meals and so do not have to pay for their dinners.
If you think your child is eligible for free school meals, please apply using the link on the ‘Parents – Forms’ page of our website.

Packed lunch from home
If you wish to provide your child with their own pack lunch, please make sure your child's name is written on the outside of the lunchbox and that you provide a drink. No fizzy drinks please.
Lunchtimes
Throughout lunchtime the children are supervised by lunchtime supervisors and school staff. Meals are eaten in the school hall and good manners and considerate behaviour are encouraged at all times.
School Fruit and Vegetable Scheme
This is a government programme that entitles every child in Nursery, Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 to a piece of fruit or vegetable each school day.
Milk
Milk is provided free of charge to all our Foundation 1 (Nursery) children and children in Reception who are under 5 years old. If children in other year groups would like to order milk, they can do so at the school office. Payment must be made in advance.
