Our topic this term is all about Map work  - we will learn to read points of the compass and four and six figure grid references. We will study lines of latitude and longitude as well as time zones. We will apply our new skills to write a series of letters from different countries.

In Science, we will learn about Materials and why we choose them. Our lessons will include:

• How can we compare and group materials?
• Which materials did the builders choose when building our school, and why?
• Which liquid is the thickest?
• Who invents things?
• Can the same container keep cold things cold and hot things hot?
• Which materials are absorbent, permeable or waterproof?
