Maths
The children will be following the Power Maths scheme.
Year 2
The children's first topic is numbers to 100. They will represent numbers to 100 using base 10 and place value grids, partition numbers to 100 and identify numbers to 100 on a number line. The children will compare and order numbers. They will then count in 2s, 5s and 10s and count in 3s.
The next topic is addition and subtraction. They will add and subtract 1s and multiples of 10. They will add to the next 10. The children will add and subtract across a 10 in preparation for adding and subtracting two 2-digit numbers.
