Science

As scientists, we will be investigating light and shadows. We will develop the knowledge we learnt in key stage 1 and expand our understanding of light and why we need it to see and how shadows are made. We will carry out experiments to deepen our new knowledge.

Geography

As geographers, we will discover the different layers of the Earth. We will observe how tectonic plates move and what happens when they collide together. We will use scientific knowledge and evidence to describe what happens during an earthquake and where they happen, as well as what effects they have on the Earth and the people who live in those areas. 

Design and Technology

This half-term we will be developing our skills in design and technology. Together we will be designing and making our own seasonal stockings, taking inspiration from what we love about Christmas. Using our designs and plans, we will sew our stockings ready to hang up for Santa.

French

In French, we will be learning all about Les animaux (animals). Together we will learn about 10 familiar animals. We will practice listening skills and learn how to write the names of the animals in French. We will also practice speaking in French, learning how to say the different animals' names.   

PSHE

Together we will be looking at valuing differences.
