PE
Our PE days are Tuesday and Wednesday. Information about PE kit is at the bottom of this page.
Athletics
One of the children's topics will be athletics. They will develop sprinting technique and changeover technique in relay events. They will develop their jumping technique and throwing for distance and accuracy. They will finally develop officiating and performing skills.
Outdoor Adventurous Activities
The other topic the children will focus on is OAA. They will develop their teamwork skills and co-operation. They will develop trust while listening to others and following instructions. They will be able to identify objects and draw and follow a simple map.
Swimming
This half term the Year 4 children will be going swimming on a Tuesday for their PE lesson. They will need their swimming kit every Tuesday.
- Earrings need to be removed
- Hair must be tied up
- Goggles can only be worn, if the form is signed by parent/guardians to give the permission
PE Kit
PE kit consists of plain white T-shirt, shorts or leggings/joggers (black or blue), black trainers and a black or blue jumper or cardigan (could be the school jumper). When we do indoor PE the children will need shorts under their trousers or ready to change into. (See detail in letter from Headteacher).
Hair longer than shoulder length should be tied up and earrings need to be removed (if possible/ favourable option) if not children must tape their own ears with their own tape. Children are to have the responsibility for doing this themselves. Children can help each other. If not they do not take part in physical lesson but instead help within the lesson in another role. THIS IS HEALTH AND SAFETY.
